WORLD WAKE SURFING CHAMPION
Most people would think I have been wake surfing or doing some type of water sport my whole life… but that’s not the case. I was actually scared of fish and everything in lakes/oceans so I hadn’t gone in the water until I was 11 when I learned how to wake board. In 2009 my brother came out on the boat and started wake surfing. I thought it was the coolest thing and was amazed by all the tricks he was doing. That day my brother taught me to wake surf promising me that I would like it more than wake boarding. Little did I know that that day would change my life forever. I fell in love with wake surfing. I went to my lake house that was 3 hours away from home every weekend and every chance I got just to wake surf. In 2010, I decided to go to the World Wake Surf Championship not knowing if I was even good at the sport or not. I entered amateur women and took 2nd place. I was then recognized for my aggressive style. I was offered many sponsorships at that contest. I then decided to compete in the rest of the contests that season and sign with a board company. I was hooked on wake surfing and competing and that’s how my career began. I couldn’t imagine my life any other way. Now I have moved to Austin TX so that I can wake surf everyday and continue to progress.

WHAT FIRST INSPIRED YOU TO BEGIN WAKESURFING?
My brother pretty much made me learn how to wake surf and then I fell in love with it as soon as I got up on the board! Now I couldn’t imagine my life any other way!
HOW OFTEN DO YOU GET TO RIDE?
I moved to Austin TX last year so now I get to ride whenever I have a driver. I’m only 10 minutes from the lake! 🙂
WHAT SETS YOU APART FROM OTHER FEMALE WAKESURFERS?
I would have to say my aggressive style and that I like to learn the tricks that the guys are doing!
WHO WOULD YOU LIKE TO THANK OR GIVE PROPS TO?
My family, especially my brother for teaching me how to wake surf and my mom for driving the boat all the time and definitely all of my sponsors none of this would be possible if it weren’t for them!
