And this week’s food inspection report shows we have to area restaurants that got the dreaded “C” score, and they’re both in Starkville.

First up is the Juva Juice location on Highway 12 East. It was had only one non-compliance issue – the food being separated and protected.

The other restaurant with the C was the Hissho sushi location inside Kroger. It had two violations – not having a certified manager and not have the proper cold holding temperature.

As for last week’s C – Ryan’s of Tupelo – it received a B on a follow-up inspection. The violations were corrected, but a B is the highest grade a facility can get following a C inspection.

The state Department of Health regularly inspects restaurants and food facilities. These Northeast Mississippi facilities were inspected between Jan. 22-29.
