Sahara Pizza
Very inconsistent & very disappointed that I keep getting screwed. I have come to Sahara multiple times excited about their gluten free options, but every time I'm given a total I'm charged … more than they told me. I understand that gluten free is an additional $3 but I've been very clear to ask for the price of gluten free items & every time I'm over charged. I use to work for Sahara & took pride in my work until I became a manager of my own restaurant, & I know Jimmy would be very upset to hear of the incompetence of his staff.
I keep trying to come back & hope it's better but when I came in on half off take out day & charged full price & charged more than the amount they quoted me AGAIN I was very upset. Not only that the pizza was burnt & not sliced. Sadly I'm never coming back. more »

I have ordered over the phone 2 times, the first time I was told it would take them 45 min to make a simple sandwich, so I show up to pick it up, get charged for it then I was promptly told their oven … was broken and they couldn't make it. no phone call no nothing, then they rudely told me they couldnt credit back my card because the manager was not there. The second time I ordered was the same, 45 min to make 1 sandwich and the guy on the phone had an attitude like he really didn't want to be taking my order, like I was wasting his time, this time they were actually able to make the food but when I opened up the wrapper after my 5 min drive getting home it was very dry and tasted like eating cardboard, I could only get down a couple of bites before I had to throw the $14 sandwich away and find something else to eat. I will NEVER go back to this location again. Do yourself a favor and go to Coconut Kenny's over in Burlington, I have been there 3 times and everytime the food and service was awesome. more »

Came here when they first opened their Riverside Drive location. Had great expectations but was dissappointed. Ordered their Ultimate Sahara and felt a stomach ache that night. Figured it was a fluke … and went back again. Ordered their meat special the Lion's Feast. BIG MISTAKE. Sausage was sour so my wife and I didn't end up finishing it. Owner/manager did not offer any sort of replacement or reimbursement. He said that is how their brand of sausage is supposed to taste. After we left we went home and ended up throwing up our dinners. I think they keep their toppings after expiration date to save money. TRY AT OWN RISK. more »

If you value friendly, thoughtful service in your dining experience, then stay the hell away from Sahara Pizza. This has always been true--from when they were located on Parker Way, to their new locat … ion on Riverside. It takes a special kind of person to completely ruin one's pizza experience. Back in the Parker Way days, everyone I dealt with behind that counter did their very best to exemplify their lack of customer service skills--clearly not passionate about pizza in any way, shape, or form. They could take a lesson from the dead-eyed teenagers that run Dairy Queen.
Well, now we have a "classy" new joint on Riverside that looks more like a sports bar than anything else. The atmosphere is that of an alcoholic's daycare, and the service has somehow gotten worse. Imagine waiting ten to fifteen minutes for your server to bring you a menu. Quite possibly, this is so a patron's imagination may soar as to what the kitchen may offer. The service here sets the bar for lousiness, and by all means--do not arrive hungry. I can grow a full beard faster than they can make a pizza!
Now as for the quality of food, Sahara's pizza compares very well to Domino's (except in price, of course.) One experience that haunts me was when I paid money for a pizza which apparently was dropped in a puddle. A soggy pizza, doesn't that sound good right about now? Of course not, because you have sense. How do you even make a soggy pizza. Sahara's pies fail to hit the mark that even a frozen Red Baron does.
If you happen to read an online review that consists of four words, you should know better than to give it any kind of credit. Someone is clearly sleeping with the enemy, or worse, he's one of those animals on the payroll that I've been trying to describe. Do NOT go there if you're looking for a positive pizza experience! Take it from me, I know words. more »
